Qualification European Grand Prix of 2009

Comments on the Qualification
I didn’t see the qualification, but what I can see after seeing the results of the qualification is that it looks like McLaren has found the way back in front of the pack again. Lewis on pole and Heikki 2nd is better than what McLaren has shown the rest of 2009. Brawn GP isn’t that bad either with Rubens on 3rd and Jenson on 5th. Romain Grosjean isn’t that bad for Renault on 14th. Jaime Alguersuari and Luca Badoer are not as good as the should be on 19th and 20th. And a great qualification for Adrian Sutil for Force India F1 Team on 12th.

Qualification Hungarian Grand Prix of 2009

Comments on the Qualification

This was a very surprising qualification. Who would have guessed that Fernando Alonso could get the Renault R29 on pole? Well whith the lightest fuel load it is explained! Those Red Bull RB5’s are fast! I sure think that both Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber are a serious threat to Jenson Button. It’s a pity Brawn GP doesn’t develop the car that quick. I sure not hope that is due to lack of funding.

The last news about Felipe Massa is that he is stable after surgery after the crash yesterday during the qualification. It took me back to Brands Hatch, last week, when the boy Surtees died in a freak accident in Formula 2. But luckily for Felipe Massa, he had a concussion and a cut on his head.

I do look forward to the race this afternoon. I sure hope Jenson Button does a few good things with the Brawn GP, but reality forces me to hope that he stays in points.

Qualification German Grand Prix of 2009

Comments on the Qualification

A totally awesome qualification with the rain and all! I like it very much when in a qualification the rain comes to fast so the drivers must change to intermediate tyres. It is even better when in the same period the rain ceases and the drivers must change to slicks. This is action for the viewer. It’s good for McLaren Mercedes to be in the top 10 with both drivers. And I am very impressed by Force India’s Adrian Sutil. He made in into the top ten qualifying and starts the race at seven.

Tomorrow I will enjoy the race from the grand stands around the Dunlop Kirche. I will get back to you about that experience.
